Corona or not, we need to keep living which is not easy when living after the current social distancing rules. Joining our Beyond Adventures social distance comes as a part of the package. You don’t need to fear big crowded hotels, huge shuttle busses or crowed tourist attractions. We always travel as a small intimate group staying in small carefully selected lodging. At Lake Baikal we even stay in a camp on the ice of Lake Baikal.
Siberia is one of those places that most have heard about and only a few have visited voluntarily. With Beyond Adventure we make it possible to go straight to the natural highlight of the region, Lake Baikal. The sheer numbers about Lake Baikal is enough to make it an absolute „must-visit“ on anyone’s bucket list. It is the largest freshwater lake in the world (by volume) and the world’s deepest lake. Commonly known as “the oldest lake in the world”. It holds 20 percent of the world’s fresh water! This volume is approximately equivalent to all five of the North American Great Lakes combined.
We always do things the spectacular way… A private shuttle from Irkutsk airport to the camp. Here you get the keys to a classic Porsche 911 fitted with special ice tires. Spend a full day driving on the 2-meter thick crystal clear 31.000 km2 large ice cube! But it does not stop here, you sleep in cozy well-heated Mongolian Yurts and have a mobile sauna and bath truck in the camp. A private hovercraft trip to Ice caves and the Bell helicopter shuttle back to the airport… With temperatures below -30 °C bring warm clothing… Yes this is adventure pure!
